The Woodland Trust commissioned Geckoella ecologists to map the vegetation of Beacon Hill Wood in Somerset in 2019.

The team adapted Phase One habitat mapping methods and made assessments of wildlife conservation value to provide context for the different areas of plant communities, taking into account the potential for protected species such bats and as Great Crested Newt Triturus cristatus.
