Andy King, one of Geckoella’s Directors and Principal Geologist heads up the Fossil Walks team. Walks are generally run through the school holidays and are great family fun. Advertised on our website, social media and via Watchet visitor centre these walks are proving very popular. Mainly visiting Helwell Bay and West Beach Geckoella has also collaborated with the Quantock landscape partership and have taken fossil fans to Kilve beach for a day of exploration and fossil identification.
Back in August one of our walks coincided with a group of visitors from Surrey discovering a huge ammonite which we help reveal, identify and record. Read more about their exciting find here…
