Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
At the Geckoella hop
Taking a break from bat surveys
catching up on the Christmas shop
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas spirit ring
Later we’ll be on a night survey
And we’ll do some bat counting
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Andy singing, let’s be jolly
whilst Josh identifies the boughs of holly
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancin’ merrily
In the en-viron-mental way!

As a celebration of the team’s hard work this year’s Christmas Party (hop) was thankfully taken in the skittle alley of The Lamb in Axbridge. The rounds of Skittles (including a brutal couple of games of Killer) were taken very seriously and enjoyed nearly as much as the fine Christmas dinner we were served. Congratulations to Joshua Butterworth and Jamie Foster who proved themselves to be supreme champions. Thank you to the staff at The Lamb for looking after us and thanks to those kind designated drivers who did an excellent job driving us home safely as Storm Darragh started to make itself known.
