HS2 is a major part of Geckoella Ltd ecology work and has been since 2013, so Geckoella’s ecologists have a wealth of HS2 experience.

Our work for HS2 was mainly ecological surveys and Site Ecologist services (Ecological Clerk of Works) but we also provided project design and management support, data analysis and QA (Quality Assurance). We’re an innovative company with efficient tech and systems – we welcome enquiries about HS2 project developments, new approaches and specialised methods.

 The Geckoella team offers a wide range of skills and knowledge (and licences!) but above all they deserved praise for their hard work, dedication and adaptability. Our tasks included fieldwork, desktop data analysis, presentation and reporting, as well as team, data and project management – all of which are performed to an excellent standard.

HS2 is an extensive and important infrastructure project, and the role of ecologists is crucial – working sensitively, diligently, and efficiently to survey, record and advise on the status and conservation of wildlife and habitats wherever it may be affected.
